Day Of Mourning for Workers Killed or Injured on the Job

Today is the National Day of Mourning for Workers Killed or Injured on the Job. As Albertans we are no strangers to hard work. We understand that not all work is without risk. However, every worker that goes to work in the morning has the right to return home safe at the end of the day. Whether it is someone working a desk job, to our skilled trades, to our police and first responders on the front lines, everyone deserves a safe and healthy workplace.

So on this day we reflect on those we've lost. We commit ourselves to continuing to improve workplace safety and health, and we celebrate how far we have come to improve workplace safety for all Canadians.
